I am delighted to be able to invite you to take part in the first Leipzig International Mendelssohn Academy.

The piano has been a central part of the Leipzig curriculum ever since Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy founded our institution, the first German music Conservatory, in 1843. The International Mendelssohn Academy aims to build upon and revitalize the piano tradition initiated by Moscheles. Come and discover Leipzig, the city of Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Wagner; the city of Goethe and Schiller, the home of the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Thomanerchor - the St. Thomas Boys‘ Choir. An international circle of outstandingly talented students will work together with fascinating artists and pedagogues from across the world in the beautifully restored historic rooms of the Hochschule - come and be part of this exceptional musical experience in a unique, magical location!

es ist mir eine Freude, Sie zur ersten Internationalen Mendelssohn-Akademie in Leipzig einladen zu dürfen.
